It was a long, safe day full of lots of adventure and an abundance of laughter, landing us at a little Spanish speaking oasis in the desert. We had to leave our van in Haiti, but a friend graciously lent us his stranded-in-the-DR car, so add in some motorcycles and a mini bus (and a lot of cows) and we made it! Having our fluent friend Rosa is helping greatly and once we finally made it, we were all overjoyed to find this little retreat center with wifi, some a/c, decent food and a beautiful facility!
Already, I am so thankful for the precious family time, down time and friend time this has afforded! Thank you for your prayers!
