sabbath: draw near

As I've been working through the old law of Hebrews, the old sacrifices, the priests, the blood...Hebrews 10:19, the New and Living Way this morning is just too good not to share.

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence
to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus
by a new and living way 
which He inaugurated for us through His flesh
and since we have a great priest over the house of God

let us draw near
with a sincere heart
in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled clean
and our bodies washed

let us hold fast the confession
of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful.

let us consider how to stimulate one another
to love and good deeds,
not forsaking meeting together, 
but encouraging one another, and 
all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Do not throw away this confidence
it has great reward
You have the need of endurance
so that when you have done the will of God,
you may receive what was promised.

We are not of those who shrink back to destruction
But of those who have faith to the persevering of the soul.
