the journey

Whew!  We are home again, and far better off having gone.  We're all bruised from too much beach volleyball, all brown from too much pool time, all a bit heavier from too much buffet, and all so grateful and more reflected and more rested from 4 days away.  So thankful for a super inexpensive utopia just five or six hours from home, for the chance to go, for the Bundy's letting us borrow their vehicle, for wonderful neighbor friends who know and love us well, and to be safely home!

We left for the DR when the sun was still coming up, and hit the border right in time for market day...here's the beauty (and crazy) you would have seen if you'd been with us!
the waterfront in a different light was downright captivating...everyone, just waiting for the light that makes life possible and the warmth that makes it flourish.

what an image of His coming this Christmas

It was market day.  Read: insane.
not great planning on our part.  All the same, I loved being caught in the middle of real-life in Haiti and completely ignored as everyone rushed to their buying and selling.
ice.

more tomorrow...even with all that rest...we are BEAT!
