It's another gorgeous day in Haiti, following a very long night of partying to extremely loud techno music (Matt's favorite :) We're learning to sleep through it!
Even better than the radiant sun is that this precious girl is IN my house and being greatly loved on by cousins anxious to share their toys.
The student rotations up the mountain with Ezechiel are changing today from the ones who went to help with his Christmas services to the ones who are going to help with his New Year's Services, and as much as I had hoped to make the hike Sunday...this mama's gonna have to wait a bit longer. So thankful for the willingness of our students to go SO far and work so tirelessly on their breaks.
Sofie's favorite "wait at the airport" game is driving, then riddles.
Her best riddle yesterday was this one:
It starts with a "T",
and it's like a flower, but it's not.
The answer that Matt finally somehow guessed? A Lollipop.
I love these girls.
Before everything shuts down for independence day, we are running our dear family off to the beach.
Meanwhile, Sofie's fabulous teacher posted this picture today of her class, and Sofie was SO excited to rattle of each of her friend's names to Aunt Lisa, adding, "And he is my best friend" after each one. SO thankful for this precious group of little ones and the friendship they all share, and for Miss Erin and all her patience :)
