filled

Another picturesque church adventure today...through the river and through the woods to Job's church we went.
Matt preached through Genesis 1 and on the miracle at the wedding at Cana...talking about the spaces God makes and the purpose for those spaces: to be filled.
Light, filled with the sun moon and stars, the skies and waters filled with birds and fish, the land filled with animals and people.  The jars filled with water, poured out wine.  His people, vessels, meant to be filled by Him and poured out continually upon others, never running dry.

These guys have been helping us with all that.  Having Mama Cathie and Papa Greg here has been filling us up...encouraging, fun and uplifting.  The girls have been all the best kinds of spoiled and we have had apple pie and good conversation and game nights and help and friends.

Very thankful.

Be careful that you vigorously maintain God's perspective, and remember that it must be done every day, little by little.

The proper perspective to maintain is that we are here for only one purpose--to be captives marching in the procession of Christ's triumphs.

Paul said: "I am in the procession of a conqueror, and it doesn't matter what the difficulties are, for I am always led in triumph."

Is this idea being worked out practically in us?  It was Paul's joy to be a captive of the Lord, and he had no other interest in heaven or on earth.

O. Chambers

It was for this He called you through the Gospel: that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
