crazy to keep up

Life has been almost too crazy to keep up with as of late!
It has been officially determined that I wish terribly my little sis and little Evie lived with us permanently.  Life is so sweet with my niece and best friend here, helping and letting us help and just being a part of everyday life.  Even if they don't love the heat nor the constant steam of socialness :)
I'm so so so thankful for this time.

Our emergency generator man, Kevin, has been FABulous, quickly seeing lots of problems and solutions that none of us have the eye, training nor experience to see and fix.  SO good.  His bag with his tools may even make it in today (only a FEW days late :) and that would be a blessing, too.  Already, the electricity situation has GREATLY improved...  so thankful, and so thankful for all of the constant work Ryan and Phil have put in to get us by until Kevin got here!

Half our team left today, which was quite sad.

Ryan and Cheyenne have headed back to Kansas for the remainder of her pregnancy (baby is due in December!) and we had a lovely baby shower for her on Wednesday!
Emily headed out on the same flight, but is on her way to BOSNIA to visit her missionary sister for two weeks!  We are all SO thankful she has this opportunity and so thankful that she and Amanda will FINALLY have time together in the country that has been Amanda's people and home for the last 8 years!!

But we will miss her!

SO, Haylie and I are taking on meals together for Em's family and taking on this last weekend of with visiting professors.

Charles headed to Port-au-Preince this morning, and all our other VP's are wrapping up their classes this morning!
That means that on Monday, residential courses begin!
Residential courses do mean that less hospitality and cooking, but we are heading straight into teaching!  I teach every Monday (English one), Wednesday (English three) and Friday (TOEFL), and Matt will be teaching Introduction to the Old Testament and overseeing all the fourth year memoirs.
