NorthRidge, POST!

Had a wonderful time this morning with our NorthRidge family, of which I have NO pictures.  Didn't even think about it until we got back to the house.  We were able to share briefly on Haiti and our students in each service, and then Matt was able to dig into the Word more during the combined adult Sunday School class in between services.

A big potluck lunch afterwards gave us some time to spend getting to know and catching up with many of the people we have come to know and love at NorthRidge.

Very incredibly thankful for this special part of His Body and for the way NorthRidge works HARD to be intimately involved, interested and knowledgeable of our lives.  The girls have just been LOVING it here, and I'm pretty sure we could stay a few more weeks!

A friend noted this morning that we truly seem to have developed FRIENDS with members of NorthRidge, Sabetha...which you would think would be impossible from so far a distance.  But thanks to their great effort to BE good friends to Matt and I--helping and praying and coming and care-packaging, getting to know our girls, getting to know us-- I am so thankful she was right!

This evening we have one more fun get together before heading back to Columbus, Ohio Monday evening.

Something I learned through countless conversations today:  YOU NEED TO START COMMENTING!

Please don't wait for us to be face to face to tell us that the font on our blog is too small!  Please don't wait 'till you see us to tell us that you were praying for us when Lily was sick!  Please TELL us when you wish you could have climbed that mountain, too....TELL us when you think we are on to something...when you think we couldn't be more wrong!  Even if it is only a 2 word comment, or a "praying!", POST IT!

As we try to share our lives openly, it's easy feel isolated, then we meet so many people who know us WELL and follow us faithfully and pray continually...and we never even knew!

There are many days we need the encouragement of knowledge of your prayers, the advice of your journeys, the wisdom of your walk with God!

So please....go out on a limb, take the risk of publicly posting your thoughts and stories, and RESPOND!  If you just can't, email!  We're so thankful, ALWAYS, to hear from you!

We love all you dear blog-stalkers.  We want to know you, too!!

This HAS been a crazy summer.  But days like today at NorthRidge make me feel SO blessed by our life ministry that takes us all over and gives us the chance to meet family we never would have, otherwise!

  3. I can't even imagine how tired you guys are, even though I know each and every event you attend is a good one. You all have been basically non stop since we saw you earlier this summer. Know that I am praying for Matt, you, Lily & Sophie. Praying that He will bless you will rest and peace and that deep breath of relaxation, before you have to return home to Haiti. I love you all so very much....

    1. thank you Lori...I can't really imagine, either. Dad asked this morning, "So, what do you want to do tonight?" and I felt brain dead. Thank you so much for your cherished prayers...
