update...

"A death at the border" is a bigger deal than we all thought.  Apparently someone from our country killed an official from the DR, and now the border has been shut down both by rioting and fighting and by the DR government, refusing to open again until the perpetrator is handed over.

Not only does this mean an almost instant hike in food prices (Haiti buys tons of produce and bulk items like rice and chicken from the Dominican each week), it also means no Dodo and Bubba.  Until.  We don't know.

Very disappointed everyone.

Very THANKFUL everyone that they are ok, and have been taken back away from the border and emailed this afternoon from a resort about 2-3 hours from the problems.

Please pray with us for resolution, no more violence, and for continued safety (and hopefully, a visit!) from John and Dorothy.

We can't keep the house this clean for long :)
