random catch-up

This morning (Thursday) started with a 6 am chauffeur of Maxi, Kerline and baby Christie all the way back to the hospital for 1 week check-ups, Lily to school by 8, class from 8:30-11, Matt recording at the radio station at 9, getting Lily at noon, cleaning the house and getting ready for dad...and then Matt came in at 3, totally wiped, headed for the bedroom, and literally has not left it or eaten since.

Ethan had a stomach bug earlier this week and it seems that said bug, extreme tiredness (Lily+Sofie+Kitten= many opportunities to rise and shine between midnight and 6 am last night), and a generally rough week has Matt out for the count.

Wish I hadn't spent over an hour making his favorite dinner :)

My dad is coming at 8 am tomorrow morning, and the girls have been so excited today that they asked at least 6 times if they could go to bed now so that tomorrow would come.  Then Lily made this sign for his door, complete with mustache my dad hasn't had for 20 years :)

Aunt Bex home-runned the care package...the girls have been granting each other wishes all day ;)

some princesses only like skirts.  Less itchy, you know.

Friday afternoon is EBS's academic convocation, a late but nonetheless, official start to the new school year and commitment to and from the first year class as EBS community!   Each member of first year invited 5 family members to the event, so today should be a full and fun day!

Meanwhile, our internet is causing all kinds of problems again...can't get on for hours at a time...can upload a blog photo but can't check my email...can get it at the office but not at the house, vice versa.  We're all more than a little frustrated by it (we're too dependent on this technology thing, aren't we!), so bear with us as our updates are coming sporadically!

We have a busy couple of days ahead...can't wait to share!
