All four of our classes started so well. We both love teaching 1st year classes...such a great way to get to know our new students and to start relationships with them each. Then I have a mix of 2nd and 3rd year students along with four staff members for my other two classes...I love teaching and learning with friends. Matt's also teaching a Ministry and Discipleship Formation course one day a week with 3rd year that he's loving. Teaching (and grading...booo) bring a lot of extra work, but we're thankful to be back in classroom discipleship and learning!
Matt also was able to reflect on and then share a powerful message in chapel Friday about transformation and purity of heart in light of spiritual warfare, sin and the world. The students and staff were particularly touched this week, with Belony saying, "Wow. That made me realize I need to change EVERYTHING about the way I do and think about evangelism."
Glory to God, and it continues to be such a gift to watch Him at work through Emmaus.
On Friday Angel, a friend of Matt's near Vaudreil, called and said, "Remember when you were here with your girls last month, and they loved those kittens? I sold them all, but saved one for them. I want to give them that gift...come get her today!"
Sigh.
As you know, we have done the cat thing, and it's always a bit of a challenge for our family first to adjust to having a cat, then feeding the things and getting them rounded out, only to have them wander and get eaten. BUT, friends are pointing out that it COULD be good for all of our rat issues...
IF it were actually bigger or scarier than a rat herself. Oh my.
Flea infested and malnurished, add "Princess Puff-Puff" to the Ayars family outreach.
Sigh.
(did I already sigh? probably. Sigh again.)
Today we're looking forward to bringing Maxi, Kerline and Christie home from the hospital, and to the afternoon with Pastor Janiel, Penina, Javens and Kenderly, four of our favorite people...pictures to come.
Meanwhile, I finally caught this adorable video of Sofie's favorite past-time...praying. She absolutely insists on being the one to pray at every meal, and if someone else begins to pray, she prays louder right on top. Every single thing this little mouse says just comes out adorable :) I love that she loves to talk to God already...even about her juice, her mama, and Puff Puff.
Look at Puff Puff as an employee. Puff Puff must be able to do the rat-catching job, even if all it does is emit a warning that will turn the rats away! If that doesn't work, may I suggest the Pied Piper?.
ReplyDeleteThe video of Sofie is priceless! LOVE IT!!! Princess puff puff looks very loved already:)
