Let me take a small pause from the Baron story to share some pictures from Tuesday...
Noel, still entirely wiped from our Baron adventure, was sleeping on the couch the other day when Lily woke up from her nap, climbed up with Noel, and went right back to sleep. Too cute! No-no is Lily and Sofie's dearest friend, without a doubt :)
Monday night's sunset came with this awesome rainbow!
And yesterday was Biga's 3rd birthday! You kind of have to make your own fun in Haiti (nobody's going to do it for you :), and so for her birthday we rented a horse for all the kids to ride.
I'm pretty sure her owner thought we were insane. The horse ended up right where it started without accomplishing anything. But, he thoroughly enjoyed watching all the foreign little ones thoroughly enjoying their afternoon...sooo....win win.
We followed pony-rides with a big 'ole game of bamboo volleyball, which is the kind of thing you get when youth pastors move in next door. It was Simeon's first time playing...and now he's hooked! He's determined to teach all the students...so we may not be a SOCCER ONLY campus much longer!
After dinner, we all headed over to Biga's house for her birthday party! Cammie got awesomely creative with butterfly cakes, and all the kids were thrilled to have cake and icing AND candy all at once :) Like I said...you've gotta make your own fun :)
Add in a visit with Ezechiel, successfully obtaining a NIF number (national fiscal identity number needed for all official forms) for the first time in 7 years (now I can stop using my dad's cell phone number on said forms), the administrations GREAT success in finally obtaining EBS's accreditation from the government, Matt finally getting everything for his Haitian's drivers license successfully processed (for the record, all of these legal things I'm mentioning have taken an INCREDIBLY amount of energy and time) and carrying out all our other daily jobs?
Yeah, it was a big day!
