This week was emotionally and physically exhausting, 'case you didn't notice with all these posts recently!
It's 8:30, and I'm done in. So thankful it's Friday night and that that is OK. There was still a lot that happened this week you didn't hear about, so I'm just going to throw some pictures at you and call it a week!
Lucner turned 30! We had a big party for him on Tuesday, complete with lots of skits, songs, raps and speeches, and really good food.
As much as I enjoy events like this, I never really understand much of the humor.
But Lucner did. And that's all that mattered. We love this brother and his little family (wife Luna above in purple dress and daughter Victoria below), and are so thankful to have him working alongside Matt and Vilmer in leading and serving at EBS.
I shared with you briefly that we had some good time with Janiel, Peninah, Javens and Kenderly on Tuesday evening, as well. God undeniably gave Janiel gifts in evangelism and mercy, and when he hold your hand and tells you he's praying for you, you know that he IS. Being at their home in Bois Kay Mon was a fun and humbling and gratitude filled experience...so thankful for this faithful little family.
Lily has a blast with Kenderly and Javens, and this day running like goats around the property was no exception.
These two pix are from a few weeks ago, but don't think I ever shared them. While Gertha watches Sofie and Celine watches Naomy in the mornings, these two get to play together, and have become passionate 2 year old buddies :) Steer clear if there is only one toy involved...otherwise, it's all love.
Lily wanted to hold Sofie. Sofie wanted to sit with Danielle. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why there are no Disney movies about FOUR princesses. Very hard to keep them all grinning at the same time! This photo will always crack me up :)
Finally, Noel's sister Herloude (the one I made that ghastly green wedding cake for) finally had her little girl, with no doctor, no nurse, no midwife, no medication, no no nothing on Monday morning. Sarah shares more about the experience here (I am. So. Tired. Read Sarah's story :)
Just a few of the cousins, all packed in the pitch black house and a little blinded by the camera flash! There are now at LEAST 17 people living in this little stick and mud hut. Exhausted, Noel finally slept over for a few nights, and now they're all settling into new baby routine.
Today, after a bunch of phone calls and working out some transportation, Herloude took Loudnara (Lude-Nah-Rah) to a great MamaBaby clinic down the way with a huge list of concerns as a new mama. Turns out, every concern was addresses, every fear calmed, and baby Luddie(as I intend on calling her :) and Herloude are GOOD.
We'll catch up with them tomorrow.
After we sleep at least 9 hours (is the plan).
THANK YOU for all the wonderful, encouraging, heart-break, prayer-filled emails these past two days in response to our last two posts...got a lot churning in our minds and hearts, and you do, too...
It's good to be family!
Happy Weekend!
