What a great Sabbath...

This morning we headed to town, which has finally calmed down after Carnival, and beelined for Vilmer's Church, the Church of the Heavenly Lights.  It's one of our favorite places to worship and this morning was no exception.

There are a lot of reasons why we love it there, but the main one is seeing the fruit of Christ in Vilmer.  He is a PASTOR.  While Vilmer (EBS's dean of development) is gifted in many ways, when you hear him communicate His Word in the setting of the church and people he has poured his life into, you are blessed.  

It's a special congregation, outward focused and excited about living the Gospel, and a special church who is active in community outreach and discipleship.  The creativity of the programs the church and leadership has developed is just plain inspiring, and the spirit of the people towards tithing, ministries involving orphans and widows, education, etc...yeah, it's good.

Sunday is a great day not only to be reminded of who He is and what He's doing in MY life, but to be reminded of Him actively at work and ministering in the lives of others.
