25 November 2012

just your average weekend.

The last few days have been incredibly full!
We hit the town Friday night with Rick, Carol, Bud and Cindy and had a BLAST.  We ended up at the Picolay (always think of you, Dan and Gill) and these couples moved way up on my awesome scale.   Very fun!
Then Saturday morning, we took down "fall" and put up Christmas, which the girls thoroughly enjoyed, and Azi announced all around that it was "now Christmas Eve!"
Friday morning, Gertha brought Thaliya for the day and when Thaliya and Sofie weren't fighting over each other's pacifiers, they were having a blast together :)
Then Saturday night, all 18 of us had a "Welcome Christmas Season" party, with Sam, Cam, Mark, Sarah, Dodo, Bubba, Phil and Butch and all 8 kids.  We had pizza, the kids made (mutilated?) Christmas cookies, watched a Christmas movie, etc.
THEN this morning Matt preached at Claudin's church plant, celebrating 2 years.  It really was a great service, complete with marching band (which hey, the girls loved--how many kids get to watch a marching band during the 3 hour church service!) and now Matt is off running a few errands with the "orality" guys, getting ready for this week's big conference and discipleship ministry!

And I.  Well, I'm tired.  I'm "old" now, and can't seem to keep the pace!  I was asleep by 8 pm last night!

Side Note: If you have followed my friend Bex's blog, she and her team are in great need of your prayers, as work and life and ministry where she is grows increasingly challenging.  Please join me in praying for peace and for Bex.  THANK YOU!
