family and loss

Another busy and beautiful week is underway!  Ya'll see this weather?  It's gorgeous, not humid, not too hot...just lovely!  Yesterday Sharon took our school picture for us, which is always overwhelmingly fun to the students, though we're not really sure why!  It took a good hour for everyone to calm down afterwards :)  I am so thankful and blessed to have such a fantastic body of Christ to work with and for and alongside of!
Meanwhile, the girls continue to have a blast with Sharon, and we're all excited to have her dear Mr. Martin joining us today through Monday!  We've been so blessed to have good friends with us ever since the day we came back over Christmas break...makes all the difference in the world!
Sharon has been helping me greatly by translating and typing the testimonies of seven of our first year students, and there is lots to share!  So, back to some powerful "Testimony Tuesdays" on the EBS Blog...and we'll just pretend like today is Tuesday :)

Also, we received the sad word yesterday that one of the members of our first class here at Emmaus lost his wife unexpectedly on Monday.  Rosnal is a good friend of Matt's and of many members of the EBS community, and his wife left seven children behind.

The funeral is Friday, and Matt plans to go and see him tomorrow.  Please be praying with us for Rosnal :(.  We are heartbroken over their loss, and in a very practical sense, concerned for their family, who was already in a very desperate place financially.  He continues to be the senior pastor at a church about 30 minutes from here.
