break

Our "Christmas Palm" is heavy with red berry nuts, and the poinsettias are blooming all around us.  Lots of plans are underway for next weeks' Week of Christmas...which will basically consist of an abundance of soccer games, egg races, musical chairs, talent competitions, Bible competitions, etc, followed by an abundance of soccer games :)

Final exams are next week, so we're busy getting ready, interviewing 7 possible new students tomorrow,  doing course registration for next semester, teaching...oh man.  Yeah, it's a little crazy right now!  But it's always like that right before Christmas vacation, or you wouldn't enjoy Christmas vacation as much, right?  Check out the EBS blog for another great student testimony.
Our break plans have changed several times, but here's what we're going with:  Praise the Lord, we are REALLY excited about heading to the Dominican on the 17th!  Our family is meeting us there to celebrate Christmas...Matt's parents, my dad, and my sister and brother-in-law.  As Lily has told everyone a million times, "they have 3 pools and one ocean and good food!"  It's going to be fantastic!!!

While we'd planned to spend the rest of break back on our side of the island, having these weeks off seems like the right opportunity to look into some medical issues Matt's been having.  While he'd been referred to a heart specialist two years ago, we returned to Haiti before we had the chance to go...which has been the case several times now :)
This time, we're going!   We've got a slew of tests and appointments lined up for him on December 29th in Columbus, Ohio and we'll get the girls their shots and appointments while we have the chance.  We won't be traveling or speaking or anything, just taking a few days to get Matt checked out.

Then, we'll be back here before school starts again on the 16th...gonna be a busy break!!  Thank you so much for all of your continued prayers.

We're feeling so blessed lately to be His!
