Have I ever mentioned how much I love teaching? Coffee-in-hand might give away that teaching is a bit difficult when you're up several times a night, but hands down, playing with Lily, drooly Sofie kisses, and working with the students in the classroom are the best parts of my day.
Starting on October 31st, Emmaus is taking a break from the normal block schedule to fit in four weeks of intensive courses, making it possible for various visiting professors to join us! Yesterday, Tom Black began teaching Spiritual Warfare to 2nd, 3rd and 4th year (due to a last minute cancellation of our 2nd year teacher) and Jerry Poff began to work with the 1st year class through Intro to the New Testament.

So far, so good...everyone is enjoying having more time daily to dive into one course (plus all language classes) and the students are enjoying getting to know a "new" professor. We're so thankful for these VP's and for the new dimensions of expertise, friendship and experience they bring!

and then there is Lily, working with Maria and Elisa on pumpkin cookies. A girl just can't have enough Aunts! She is loving brushing their hair, enjoying all their little gifts, like this new chef get-up, and they have colored a million pictures.
We find ourselves incredibly blessed right now to have good friends from college helping at the school and at home, great friends next door caring for our visiting professors, great visiting professors helping with teaching and to spend fun evenings with, and a great welder who is fixing all KINDS of things! Having VP's here also means that Matt has a much-needed four week break from teaching!
Lots of hands make light work!
Envious... but in a good way :-)
