Haiti in the news...again

Frankly, everyone here is getting a little worn out with "disasters!"

Praising the Lord that the pending hurricane has been downgraded to a tropical storm.  Praising the Lord that Dad is here and that we have TWO running generators, tons of diesel fuel, lots of supplies, etc. if necessary for the coming days.

While Dad isn't too excited about the possibility of getting further behind in his work by being stuck here a few extra days, Matt, Lily and I are thrilled at the idea of his Saturday flight being cancelled :)

While we have nothing but blue skies right now, predicted torrential rains will have us closed for tomorrow.  Heavy rains in a place like Cap-Haitian, with very poor roads, lack of drainage, open sewage, and surrounding mountains can be truly devastating.  Some of our hardest times here in Haiti have been in the midst of rainy seasons, when disease and flooding and depression can be so rampant.  Please be praying that things would be better than expected, and for the safety and well-being of the people around Haiti.

We will keep you posted as/if we have internet!  THANKS!
