Don, Revival, and God's continued work...

Don...ahhhhh.
Do you have someone in your life who comes around and suddenly everything looks brighter? That would be Don. The classroom building is flooded, the main lock just broke, you've been waiting all year to see a new chick flick (or at least I have :), you're all out of Crystal Light, you're feeling lonely, overwhelmed and discouraged and in walks Don....currently digging a ditch to circumvent the water, the lock is fixed, Julie & Julia, 10 different flavors, and BEST, long, healthy, happy, problem solving, Godly perspective conversations with a good friend!

Thank you, Brenda and Sami, yet again, for giving him up to further the kingdom here in Northern Haiti (and to bless US!)

The Sakanville Revival was...crazy. I did not realize so many people lived in Sakanville, much less would I have expected to see them all in church at the same time. Let's just say there is NOT a lot to do here. Ever. Much less after the sun goes down. So to have a generator going, and an open event to the public, with power, music, dancing and lights was a BIG event. EVERYONE was there the final evening, and these pictures just capture a small portion of the dancing, singing, performing, and preaching that took place this past week.

Matt, and several of the students, played different instruments and sang throughout the week, and several of the students preached as well.
Please continue to pray for Sakanville...it is a worldly place...the Revival attracted a lot of worldly people with a lot of worldly behavior...Praise the Lord!

The same sickness of heart that hit me in Florida over an abundance of many lost and dying people hit me the last night of the revival. For the fifty believers that attended there were hundreds and hundreds of very dark and orphaned people...Choosing the loneliness of the world over the free adoption that He offers.

The church's singing group, Harmony, celebrated their 3rd anniversary.

I am so thankful that the church keeps reaching out like this, and have great hope for the community as the church and the Seminary continue to tell them about, and exemplify, Jesus...He's not finished with Sakanville yet (or me!)
Lily loves being around the other kids!

Student Seide Civil (known as "Artist") performed some of his own music on Sunday night.
