bon voyage

These last few days in Haiti have simply flown by...filled with good time with friends, dozens of errands, finishing projects, packing and praying for our upcoming travels/speaking engagements.

Yesterday Matt preached at this "mega" church...the biggest we have attended since coming to Haiti at 1000 members and 2 services. It was a long but rewarding day as we attended first the 2.5 hour 7:00 am service, with Matt preaching 30 minutes of it, then had 20 minutes to eat steaming pumpkin soup, followed by a second 2.5 hour service, and then a huge meal. Our friend and fellow staff member, Pastor Elie, is the senior pastor at the church, and he and his family were SO gracious to us, showering us with good food, cold drinks, good conversation and prayers. We must admit, however, that our mind was on the air-conditioning to come, as that it was some 90 degrees yesterday, and quite a bit warmer in the fan-less church!

We leave tomorrow for Florida, arriving in Ohio, Lord willing, sometime Wednesday afternoon, followed by two days of dentist appointments, pediatrician appointments and vaccinations!

Please be praying for us and Lily while we travel...hope to see you soon!

  1. Welcome "home" to the States! May God bless all time spent together with friends and family! Enjoy the comforts.

    Can't wait to see you!

I hope they do not make our happy Lily cry :(

    Love you all.
