We've had a great couple of days! Wednesday night we shared with our brothers and sisters at Seeds of Greatness, which was SUCH an uplifting time! They showered us with lots of love and prayers, and it was so fun to share with them just some of the ways God is using them in Haiti. It was wonderful to be back with them, and hard to believe a whole year has passed since last time we were there.
We have also had some great opportunities to spend time with some great people. Matt's grandma has had a lot of health problems this past year, and we got to have a really good visit with her on Wednesday (pictured). Thursday we drove out to the beach to be with Matt's other grandma and grandpa. He's also had a lot of health issues, and spending the afternoon with them was a long awaited answer to prayer.

Finally, Friday night, we drove to Pennsylvania and spent a few hours with dear friends who are missionaries in Burkina Faso, Africa. They have been there a year, and are just home for three weeks, and we couldn't resist meeting up with them...We hadn't expected to be in the same country for at least another 2 years. It was SO good. We got to meet their new son and spend some time with their 2-year-old, Caleb, who we just ADORE. Then, we got a few hours with Dale and Flo at Applebee's (which was awesome for all four of us :). It was such an encouragement and a rest to be with them. Our foreign culture's are similar in a lot of ways, and was great to share joys and frustrations of the past year with each other. We've had similarly difficult first years, but speaking about how faithful the Lord has been, and how much He has blessed us by His stretching and working was moving.

We felt more emotionally rested after that 3 hours than we have our first three weeks home, and it was just plain fun to be with them, as well. Praise the Lord for this little family, for all the ways their friendship has blessed us in the past and present (we met them in French language school in Canada), and for all the ways He is using them in Africa.
Today we are heading off to Longwood Gardens with Matt's parents, brother and sister-in-law, and Mom-Mom, and tonight we'll be sharing at Cornerstone Church!
so glad you got to spend time with dale and flo--that's so fun you were here the same time :) can't WAIT to see you!
