My mind and heart and body have just been dragging these last few days and today, the day we were finally supposed to be home in Haiti with our much prayed for friends and family, was gray and cold, the kids were grouchy, and mom was with them.
A dear, thoughtful woman put lovely flowers on my porch, and Matt met us for early dinner before running back to work for his Thursday evening class on Spiritual warfare. A intentional hug from a friend. A message from Gertha and her forever cheerful, strong voice.
It just is what it is, and I'm not sucking it up, buttercup as well as I wish I was...not even our inability to join our friends and family in Haiti, to see dear friends we've been missing for months, to come alongside and DO something...but just with the daily reality struggle of life for our friends and family in Haiti.
I just feel tired and wish I could stay in bed a day instead of always pushing, pushing so many littles onward when I don't feel onward.
You all are gracious in love and prayers. The Lord, gracious in mercy.
