grace in our moments

We made it....not by a lot, but we did it...a weekend of almost continual meetings, finally getting back to a very-trashed home yesterday afternoon around 3.  We hosted several meals in our home, and the girls were largely unsupervised the whole weekend (hence trashed home) and did great, playing with their friends and eating waaaayyyyy too much candy.
By the time we got done, our intern had arrived!  Nikki's been on the ground less than 24 hours and got thrown RIGHT in.  After getting to know her better over dinner last night, today she headed to English class with me, started language tutoring this afternoon and started helping us with homeschool this afternoon!
Matt and I both started back into teaching today, being the first day of residential courses. WHEW Monday!  I'm teaching English Mondays and Wednesdays, first year and third year, and Matt's teaching Psalm with fourth year on Mondays and Intro to the OT on Tuesdays.

Right as Matt finished teaching, DHL called him and said they had a passport, and we had to come pick it up today or they were going to send it back to Port-au-Prince.  Straight from class he headed to town, and we miraculously (you DO remember the nightmare story from the embassy, which ended in us leaving a ton of money with our taxi driver and hoping against hope that one day we might have a passport for Ben?) HAVE a passport, lovely people!  And a certificate of live birth abroad...I'm so thankful. It really is a miracle :)  Thanks for your prayers!
Sunday morning before we met with the rest of OMS in the EBS chapel for a church service, Emily and Haylie took a few pictures of our family...I've been wanting one with Ben!
This picture was cracking me up...this is how it is :)
Thankfully, this is how it is, too:
I'm so thankful for my people - What a daily gift God's given me in Matt and these precious children. I sure tried to get some open eyes from Ben, but morning is nap time, and by evening we're far too ragged :)

I'll always cherish that look on Nora's face...she is super three, but super in love with her sisters.

Praying for His extra grace this week as we're heading into a big one without a rest behind us from the weekend! Thankful He's strong in our weak and grace in our moments.
