Sitting with dear Micheline on our couch all in tears seems to be a pattern this past year. After safely retuning from the Dominican Republic on Sunday with continued medical issues, her father died last night, finally free from his unmedicated agonizing battle with throat/mouth cancer. It has been a horrible journey these past months, and he's no longer suffering. But Mish. She carries it on. Pray with me for her family and mama, and pray with me too for Claudin, who is at the hospital now with Josie.

There's never gonna be a good day to step away from life for a minute, is there. But it's today, and we are on our way all the same, planning to be at our final airport destination by 11 pm.

We are just incredibly thankful to Emily, who is teaching my classes and grading my papers and getting things finalized for CETA, for Fanfan teaching for Matt and getting lots of other things CETA ready, for Phil getting the campus ready, for our beautiful servant team family that is Emmaus.

Lily has announced it is time for fall...thank you for your prayers!
